When To Start
We frequently get questions about the perfect time to begin orthodontic treatment. While having teeth is a must for braces, the best starting point varies for each person. Typically, treatment happens once all permanent teeth are in, but sometimes early intervention is needed for the best results. Dr. Greene works with you to pinpoint the ideal moment to start, ensuring your time in braces is as short and effective as possible.

Juniors
You’re likely wondering about your child’s smile: Will those gaps close on their own? When should my daughter’s baby teeth fall out? Are my son’s teeth coming in the right order? Is my kiddo’s jaw growing properly? And the big one—will braces even be necessary?
No need to stress!
Most kids don’t need braces until their permanent teeth are fully in, but every smile is unique. The American Association of Orthodontists suggests a checkup by age 7 to catch any early concerns. Book a visit with us, and Dr. Greene will guide you on the best time to start treatment, keeping a close eye on your child’s growth to make sure we’ve got everything covered.

Teens
By ages 11 to 13, most teens have their full set of permanent teeth, making it a great window to start orthodontic treatment. We offer metal braces, clear braces, and Invisalign Teen to suit their style. We know parenting a teen comes with enough on your plate—school, social life, and those daily hygiene battles. Moms and Dads, we totally understand! At Greene Orthodontics, let us take care of their smile, a key part of their confidence and how the world sees them—we’ve got this!
